On Wednesday, a speedboat pulling heavily loaded barges struck six placed visit boats, sinking one of them and injuring a woman in Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River. &nbsp,

Just before 11am, according to the Rama 199 television center, the accident took place close to the Krungthep Bridge in the Bang Kholaem area. Sand was being loaded onto the ships. &nbsp,

According to reports, the tug commander reportedly lost control of the strong current, veering off course and clashing with visit boats moored close to the bridge. &nbsp,

Six of the moored ships were damaged. One, a 40-seater, sank. An injured&nbsp, person with a swelling on her mind was taken to clinic, reports said.
