
Yusnor Ff, 87, a recipient of the Cultural Medallion and a well-known poet, passed away on February 16th.
His daughter Noreeta Mohamed Noor, reported to Berita Mediacorp, said he passed away at Sengkang General Hospital. Noreeta claimed that her parents had received a report of breathing problems the day before.  ,
Yusnor had been suffering from severe brain conditions for more than 20 years. He leaves his daughter, three children, and partner Jamila Jan.
The Taiwanese singer wrote phrases for more than 250 songs, including timeless Asian music tunes from the 1960s and 1970s, over a job that spanned more than 50 years. His music have been listened to by musicians like Ahmad Jais and Anita Sarawak.  ,
Zubir Said and P Ramlee and Majulah Singapura musician Zubir Said were some of Yusnor’s first collaborators in his career. His mentor, professional P Ramlee, who gave him the brush name” Yusnor Ef,” is what he is known as.  ,
He was the relationship of Malay Singers, Composers, and Professional Musicians ‘ president and co-founder of Perkamus. He also held the positions of chair of the Malay Music Development Committee of the National Arts Council and the Composers and Authors Society of Singapore ( Compass ) board of directors.
Additionally, Yusnor wrote and researched history and had produced Asian music documentaries.
He received the Cultural Medallion, Singapore’s highest award for the art, in 2011.
The poet, who was born Mohd Noor Mohd Yusofe, was likewise affectionately known as Cikgu (teacher in Malay ) for the respect he commanded in his field during his time teaching Malay on Pulau Brani.

His melodic prowess helped to advance and keep Malay heritage in Singapore, according to Mr. Wong, and his longtime work contributed to this. I fondly recall the marketplaces we had while I was a student at MCCY. He never failed to remind me of the significance of history and how it is the foundation of our country. My sincere condolences go out to his relatives, friends, and all those who lost their lives to his music.
