A suspected theft leads to a lonely site in Chachoengsao after an investigation into the case
A missing Chinese girl who was allegedly kidnapped for ransom in Bangkok nearly two weeks before is believed to be the owner of the mortal remains found abandoned in Chachoengsao, according to authorities.
Around noon on Saturday, a search team led by Pol Maj Gen Noppasil Poolsawat, the deputy chief of the Metropolitan Police Bureau ( MPB), conducted an inspection of the deserted site close to a housing estate in the eastern province of Muang.
They found a skull, including human arms, that they believe was belong to Yan Ruimin, 38.

Cai Boxuan, a Taiwanese nationwide, reported to police at the Bang Rak depot in Bangkok on Friday that his friend Ms. Yan was missing, and government immediately began the search.
When she told him that she would travel to Phuket on July 2 and that she had last heard from her, he next heard from her on June 30. He claimed that he was concerned that she might be in risk.

They were ultimately led there by the research that led them to the location where the body parts were discovered.
