A nine-year-old boy’s family has been charged with his dying in Australia after being accidentally shot.
Following reports of a shooting, paramedics treated the child for serious neck injuries at a farm in Windellama, near Goulburn, in New South Wales ( NSW) on Sunday. The child passed away on the spot.
Local authorities have since taken two people into custody, including a 14-year-old, and charged them with unlicense firearms.
The event is currently being investigated. What kind of relationship did the family users have with the baby is unknown.
Ron Wenban, who shares a farm with his partner, told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation ( ABC ) that “it’s rare to hear one shot here.”
No one wanted to go over there, so it was a problem to have a gunshot like that arise.
The home, according to Mr. Wenban, had purchased the property as a vacation home and were based in Sydney.
The teen may attend the NSW Children’s Court while the other family, who was detained, may show up in court in May.
The teenager was charged with illegal possession, while the man was accused of allowing an unapproved person to possess a firearm, as well as failing to keep a firearm properly.
The girl has been released on bail.
