Red-shirt supporters are expected to demonstrate their support for former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra on Tuesday night, which is scheduled to speak the Attorney-General’s decision regarding a der majoreste situation against him.

The strategy was revealed despite reports that claimed Thaksin wo n’t be present at court on Tuesday because he has once more been taken in for hospitalization.

The lese majeste case against Thaksin was the result of the coup led by the now-defunct National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO ), according to Worachai Hema, the leader of the red-shirt movement. He is a former Pheu Thai MP for Samut Prakan.

Red-shirt followers will march at the Criminal Court on Ratchadaphisek Road from 7am on Tuesday, according to Mr. Worachai, to display their respect and support for Thaksin. They will also call for situations brought by the NCPO to become dropped, as the NCPO’s forces did not come from political operations, he said.

As the program was announced, Warong Dechgitvigrom, a president of the Thai Pakdee Party, said Thaksin would not appear at court on Tuesday because he had been informed by a trustworthy source that the former prime minister had been taken to a hospital.

Dr. Warong said he was unsure of Thaksin’s hospital stay, but that his medical attendance is connected to his scheduled interview on Tuesday with the OAG.

” Next day on May 29, he did not show up. My cause informed me that he had just been admitted to a hospital, but the attorney-general scheduled an appointment with him for this on June 18. That means he’s trying to buy day”, said Dr Warong.

Former reddish- shirt leader Jatuporn Prompan agreed with Dr Warong’s assessment, adding he would sometimes claim to be ill again, or just flee the country.

Also, he called on Thaksin to look before the OAG.

” I want Thaksin to recall the earlier protests, during which many people fought for him and lost their lives. Now that he’s again, he’s exploiting somebody who’s been fighting for him for a long time”, he said.
