A colored cat, now 12th on the government’s list of protected exotic animals, has been spotted just in Kaeng Krachan National Park in Phetchaburi, according to Mongkol Chaipakdee, the playground chief.
He claimed park authorities observed the marbled cat ( Pardofelis marmorata ) on a road in the park near the 12-kilometer marker during a routine patrol. The International Union for Conservation of Nature classifies the dog as resilient.
The animal’s appearance highlights the resort’s abundant wildlife, said Mr Mongkol, who urged readers and the public to protect forests and animals to keep the Kaeng Krachan Forest Complex, which was named a normal World Heritage site in 2021.
