The place will be within walking range of Punggol Coast vehicle exchange and it will include two exits- one along New Punggol Road and another within the Punggol Digital District.
There will be more than 300 scooter parking lots to support sustainable freedom, while the network’s natural features include LED illumination and a composite cooling system.
” With the new place, over 200,000 homeowners will be within a 10-minute move from an NEL place, with shorter journey time from Punggol North to the city center and other elements of Singapore,” said LTA.
” For example, riders travelling from Punggol North to Outram Park may take about 45 days on the NEL as compared to about 60 days now. “
Development works began in 2018 and the train was handed over to SBS Transit in August.
LTA added that SBS Transit, which operates the NEL, has since been carrying out functional checking to make for the train’s opening.
