National water agency PUB in Singapore issued a warning on Monday ( Mar 17 ) that flash floods might occur and wet weather might be forecast for later in the week.
The Meteorological Service of Singapore ( MSS) predicted a monsoon surge between March 19 and March 21, which would cause moderate to heavy rain to pour through Singapore.
The Met Service foresaw the addition of the weather, which would also result in windy and chilly problems, including lower everyday minimum temperature of about 22 degrees Celsius.
On most days in March, routine temperatures can range between 24 and 34 degree Celsius.
North-easterly winds are strengthening, and this will produce significant weather to pour over the South China Sea.
In a Instagram post, PUB advises the public to listen to its overflow alerts and change any anticipated travel routes in response, warning that “intense rainfall does partially overflow our drains and canals, causing display floods.”
For the remainder of the month in March, there will be brief, torrential showers in the evening, according to MSS in its forecast.  ,
It further stated that it anticipates an “above common” snowfall for the second half of the month for the majority of Singapore.
According to traditional statistics from 1991 to 2020, the average monthly rainfall for March is 151. 7mm.
