Singapore’s national water agency PUB announced on Thursday that a second monsoon surge is expected from Friday ( Jan 17 ) until Sunday, with high tides and heavy rainfall over the weekend.
A rain boom refers to a strengthening of the gusts over the South China Sea that causes significant rain to fall over the area.
Singapore does experience prolonged rainfall once more with another rain wave coming our way this weekend, according to PUB in a Twitter post on Thursday.
” Our coastal rivers are also anticipated to experience high water levels of up to 3.2 meters over this time,” according to the report.
The risk of flood near the country’s southern areas may rise as a result of the country’s great tides and the rain surge, it added.
Restaurant will closely monitor the forecast and problem flood warnings as necessary.
The national water agency stated that “our Quick Response Teams ( QRT ) will be on standby to be deployed to flood-risk locations to manage any flooding incidents and support the communities affected, including supporting residents and business owners in flood-prone areas to operate flood defences.”  ,
