After a leaked talk, a connection between some officers and the genius of the petrol smuggling gang led to the launch of an investigation into the officers responsible for the three missing seized oil-smuggling vessels.

On March 19, the three seized boats, which contained 330 000 gallons of smuggled fuel, docked at Chon Buri’s Sattahip district’s sea police pier along with two different seized vessels. Authorities arrested 28 team members, charged them with contraband crude, and released them on loan for 3 million baht.

On June 12, the three boats disappeared with 15 team members. Eight squad members were taken from the arteries on Monday near Malaysia’s maritime border. Nearly all of the 330 000 gallons of fuel fuel had been taken.

According to Pol Maj Gen Jaroonkiat Pankaew, deputy commissioner of the Central Investigation Bureau ( CIB ), an initial investigation revealed that the vessels belonged to a network operated by” Joe Namman Thue,” also known as” Joe Pattani,” a major oil smuggler in the South.

He claimed that a man by the name of Mr. Lek contacted the police on March 19. He attempted to approach the government for aid, but his demands were denied.

The CIB assumed that Mr. Lek was the bailiff’s landlord, acting allegedly under Joe Pattani’s orders.

” This situation has sullied the popularity of the Royal Thai Police]RTP]. We must get swift motion against all those responsible, including officers. To determine the future actions, Pol Maj Gen Jaroonkiat stated that a further conversation may be held with the public prosecutor.

A Line talk was leaked to the media on Wednesday. It showed a dialogue between marine officers and Joe Pattani, said Pol Maj Gen Jaroonkiat.

” The first investigation revealed that Joe Pattani and the police officer’s conversation was authentic,” the initial getting concluded. But the Crime Suppression Division]CSD] and Anti- Fraud Division]ACD ] need time to complete the research first”.

A police officer identified by the first” N” may be summoned for doubting, he added.

The eight staff members on board the three boats when they were recaptured on Monday were flown to Bangkok for interrogation at the CSD office, according to Pol Col Anek Taosuparb, the deputy chief of the CSD.

They are undergoing an analysis to ascertain whether they have any connection to Joe Pattani. By the following year, additional information may be made public.

According to him, authorities may request Interpol to challenge a Red Notice to seven other staff members who are still at large.
