Singapore has a strong sense of trust and one, but this isn’t always guaranteed or long-lasting, according to Mr. Tharman. Society is developing at the same time, and opinions and interests are becoming more diverse. & nbsp,
” Today, more than ever, we may develop a sense of community among Singaporeans.” It will improve our world and strengthen our fortitude as we face a more unstable earth, he said.
The President follows the Cabinet’s guidance, with the exception of his judicial capabilities under the Constitution. However, according to Mr. Tharman, there is space for the President to show a particular interest in particular concerns or to support causes that are dear to him or her.
In his capacity as president, he declared,” I will encourage more interaction between our various communities while preserving the diversity of our respective cultures.” & nbsp,
According to the President, this could be accomplished by encouraging our children to participate in sports that are primarily played by a specific ethnic class, learning one another’s art forms, or encouraging partnerships between self-help groups, community organizations, and business chambers.
Beyond that, Mr. Tharman stated that he is still dedicated to achieving his life’s goal of transforming Singapore into a more diverse and politically just society. & nbsp,
CIVIL SOCIETY, Art, AND SPORTS
To aid Singapore in reaching its goal, government laws have changed considerably. Singapore, however, needs a strong sense of kinship and respect, where people feel compassion for one another and believe that” we only truly succeed when we succeed together ,” he said, in order to create an inclusive society.
In order to aid Singapore in the development of this culture, he wants to promote a vibrant civil society.
” We can do more to sustain the ground for purpose-driven and ground-up initiatives to grow and grow.” According to Mr. Tharman, this includes” giving confidence to impoverished children, supporting those who need a second or third opportunity, helping those among us who face mental health difficulties, and neighborhood efforts to support our caregivers and meet seniors at risk of being lonesome.”
