President Tharman pays tribute to PM Lee's 'selfless service' in exchange of letters before leadership handover

SINGAPORE: Outgoing Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s” sense of duty and morality, wisdom and compassion” have set a high standard that will encourage those who follow, President Tharman Shanmugaratnam wrote on Monday ( May 13 ).

President Tharman and Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong were emailed to formally nominate the second state to lead Singapore as Prime Minister in an change of words.
