Premier promises to splash out in South

During her visit to Phatthalung and Songkhla on Monday, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra stated that the government would build the South to its fullest potential.

Prior to the second mobile cabinet meeting of the year, which will take place on Tuesday in Songkhla, government official Jirayu Houngsub provided information on a major resources for the southern regions, both on the Andaman and Gulf shores.

He said the budget allocation of 302 million baht may be directed towards repairing flood-damaged system in Songkhla, Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat.

According to Mr. Jirayu, the government will also take into account revenue funding for high school graduates to pursue further education.

In addition, ideas for a growth in Songkhla worth over 400 million baht may be discussed. The endangered Irrawaddy animals in Songkhla Lake are the focus of a five-year action.

Following the delay in opening the new station according to the need for a 300-meter connected street, Ms. Paetongtarn will attend the Sadao borders station in Songkhla on Tuesday at 3pm.

Songkhla’s provincial administrative organisation ( PAO ) previously requested a budget of 28 million baht for its construction.

The dual-track railroad at Padang Besar Station’s plan for improvement will also be reviewed.

In terms of the Land Bridge task, Mr. Jirayu claimed that the prime minister had invited Chinese investors to the project’s participation.

Ms Paetongtarn, along with her group, arrived in Phatthalung on Monday to join locals and explore water management problems.

People showed symptoms praising former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and portraits of him at the reception of the city’s residents, who were frequently present during the visit.

Ms. Paetongtarn emphasized that the government is committed to addressing problems that are unique to all areas and that enhancement should not be restricted to certain areas.

She also discussed the potential for bull milk production with local farmers and offered her support for efforts to expand the business.

” The government will even look into initiatives that help people deal with issues and bring in more money to the South, allowing people to live comfortably,” she said.
