Potential flash floods between Jan 10 and Jan 13 due to monsoon surge

SINGAPORE: &nbsp, Flash floods may occur in Singapore between&nbsp, Friday ( Jan 10 ) and Monday due to&nbsp, a monsoon surge.

A rain wave refers to a strengthening of the gusts over the South China Sea that causes significant rain to fall over the area.

Over the next four days, Singapore will experience rainy and windy weather, according to the National Environment Agency ( NEA ) on Thursday.

Expect moderate to large torrential rains and cool and windy weather.

According to NEA, normal least conditions may also drop in some places around 22 degrees Celsius.

Extreme downpours may destroy the canals and drains briefly, leading to flash floods, federal water company PUB said on Twitter.

People are advised to use the MyENV game or&nbsp, PUB Flood Alerts Telegram channel&nbsp, to receive heavy weather alerts, prevent disaster risk locations and keep updated on storm warnings.
