Thailand’s people problems is a “invisible time bomb” that government must target, along with its root causes, says Varawut Silpa- archa, the minister of cultural development and human security.

” Environmental issues are visible, but this]population crisis ] is an invisible time bomb. At a conference on national strategies hosted by the National Press Council of Thailand on Thursday, he said,” It will undoubtedly cause issues within the next ten times” if it is not addressed.

Societies face many challenges, such as economic issues, diseases, online transformation and socioeconomic changes, the secretary said. These variables have an impact on the economy and lead to political conflict, which makes social issues more sophisticated and sensitive.

” No one plan can address these issues, cooperation among various fields is required”, he said.

Thailand, too, must deal with an ageing society and a declining delivery charge.

” Thailand’s population has decreased by around 500, 000 in the past four decades”, he pointed out.

” In on 20- 25 times, it is forecast to fall from 66 million to 58 million. If no addressed, in about 50- 60 ages it will decrease to only 33 million”.

He explained that quick changes in culture and technology are affecting people’s daily lives, particularly vulnerable groups such as children, the handicapped and the elder, who constitute one- third of the population.

The population in working-age also experiences growing monetary and caring strains.

He claimed that the government had a responsibility to address these issues by identifying the root causes of the lack of parental support.

Mr Varawut presented a program dubbed” 5×5 This Turn the Tide” to address the issue.

By improving their financial management and skills, it aims to motivate people in working period and prepare them for premature retirement.

Additionally, it aims to enhance the productivity and quality of life for young children and older youths while strengthening the elder through better healthcare, energetic social interaction, and technology training.

He claimed that people with disabilities would have more opportunities and price because they would be able to pursue independence more than sympathy.

They will be able to improve their abilities to create a productive world.

The program is expected to make an ecosystem that ensures available training and travel, names medicine issues, protects the environment, and manages resources effectively.

The Human Security Emergency Management Center is accessible via the 1300 line, just like the one from the Ministry of Social Development and Welfare. Its debut was set for earlier this month.

The middle handles between 12, 000 and 18, 000 information regular, with over quarter concerning family problems and domestic violence.

The home serves as the community’s and Thai society’s smallest component, he said, as the foundation for a solid community.
