
Police said a Polish tourists died early on Saturday when he stood up while drinking with his partner from a ledge on the fifth floor of a property in Patong.
The 34-year-old Finnish man’s body was discovered close to the building’s wall when police, criminal officers, and doctors arrived at the apartments in Kathu area and discovered him dead, according to Pol Maj Charnnarong Prakhongkue, chief investigator at Patong place. Around 12.13 a.m., the incident was reported.
The woman of the man’s Finnish woman claimed to have drank alcohol on the balcony of their area while she and her husband stayed in a place on the second floor. Her father stood up while eating, and he abruptly lost his balance, causing him to fall to the ground.
The figure was transported by rescuers to Vachira Phuket Hospital for a post-mortem investigation.
Police and the Polish consulate worked together to deal with the situation.
