A police courageously saved a woman who was attacked by a swarm of bees at a well-known Buddhist temple in this northeastern state on Sunday.
A swarm of bees stung a woman while she bending over in the That Phanom district’s Wat Phra That Phanom Woramahawihan, according to a popular video.
Pol Sgt Maj Chaiyaporn Khanenin, 32, who was on a police car, witnessed the incident. The officer then ran to the person and removed his dress shirt.
When he reached the girl, he shook his clothing to get rid of the ants. She waited patiently for about 20 hours before he stopped moving toward the strike area. The officer next loaded her into his police car and drove her to That Phanom Hospital, where she received a lot of stings on both her head and face.
About eight church visitors were attacked by bees, according to Pol Sgt Maj Chaiyaporn, but the one he saved was being stung by a swarm, probably because she was the primary target of bees.
The officer claimed that all he did was to save the lady was his own intention. He now understood that he would be the sole bees who would not care about him.
As many people visited the church during the Songkran festival, he speculated that there might be some bees there and that joss sticks ‘ smoke might irritate flies.
The very revered square-shaped Phra That Phanom temple, which is 53 meters tall and contains Buddha relics, makes up Wat Phra That Phanom as a tourist destination.
