Police probe case involving driver and Woodlands Checkpoint immigration officer after footage found online

After an immigration officer’s photo and video surfaced online, the police are looking into an affair at Woodlands Checkpoint.

A Twitter users posted in the Complaint Singapore party to express her disappointment over the policeman’s alleged behavior during emigration clearance. The article listed the commander and included videos and photos of him at the station counter.

The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority ( ICA ) &nbsp ) announced on Thursday ( Aug 15 ) that it is aware of social media posts that claim the officer was rude to the driver who was clearing immigration on Monday.

According to ICA in a Facebook post, the pilot made inappropriate remarks after our commander had instructed him to reduce the correct customer glass sunshade during immigration clearance.

The vehicle even captured our officer’s photos and videos when he was contacting his managers to report the incident.

The ICA added that it directed the driver to its duty office and issued a” stern warning” to him after he admitted to taking photos and videos inside the checkpoint, which constitutes an offense if done without the authorities ‘ permission.

Additionally, the driver consented to remove the images and videos, according to ICA.

” However, ICA immediately found the photographs and videos uploaded online. The event has been referred to the police, who are investigating”.

“ICA officials at the gates carry out their duties to protect Singapore’s borders. Visitors are reminded to engage and agree with their guidelines”, the agency said. &nbsp,

A police spokeswoman said that a report&nbsp, was lodged and investigations are ongoing.
