In an effort to stop the growing gap within the Royal Thai Police Office, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin instantly transferred federal police captain Torsak Sukvimol and his lieutenant Surachate Hakparn to the PM’s Office on Wednesday.

The assistant federal police captain Kitrat Panphet was then appointed the acting police chief by the prime minister. &nbsp,

Prior to the conference with Mr. Srettha, Pol&nbsp, Gen. Torsak, and Pol Gen Surachate had shared a car.

Prommin Lertsuridej, director- common to the perfect minister, on Wednesday confirmed the transfers of the two leading police officers to help with work at the PM’s Office.

The prime minister had met with the two major police officers on Wednesday morning and the order was given, according to Dr. Prommin, who said he was impressed by the order transferring them. ( continues below )

The transfers may help to repair the police force’s gap. If it came to zero, they may eventually return to work as regular, the PM’s minister- general said.

On Wednesday night, Pol Gen Torsak had announced he was &nbsp, handing all legal situations involving his lieutenant Surachate” Great Joke ”&nbsp, over to the National Anti- Fraud Commission, hoping to finish the effect of discord within the RTPO. Later, they were called in to see the prime minister.

The two senior-most police generals have recently been in the news due to reports that Pol Gen Surachate may face money laundering charges in connection with cases involving online gambling networks.

Pol Gen Kitrat confirmed that the interim national police chief’s position had been assigned to him.

He claimed on Wednesday that the Office of the Police Secretary would receive a letter from the prime minister appointing him as acting national police chief. He declined to go into more detail.

According to Pol Gen Kitrat, the prime minister will meet with police at the level of the country’s commander on Thursday to explain his policies to the police force.
