PM Wong congratulates Paetongtarn Shinawatra on her appointment as Thai prime minister

SINGAPORE: Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has written to his Thai counterpart&nbsp, Paetongtarn Shinawatra to thank her on her visit.

Ms Paetongtarn, 37, is Thailand’s youngest perfect minister. She was mercilessly endorsed by the king&nbsp, on Aug 18, two days after&nbsp, she was elected by politicians in congress.

Mr. Wong noted that Singapore and Thailand will celebrate 60 times of diplomatic relations with the United States in a text to&nbsp, Ms. Paetongtarn, dated August 18.

At the very least, he had arranged for Ms. Paetongtarn and her spouse to travel to Singapore.

Mr. Wong, who was sworn in as prime minister on May 15, wrote,” I even hope to make my beginning attend to Thailand at the very beginning.”

Mr. Wong expressed confidence in the continued strengthening of relationships between Singapore and Thailand in the years to come.

” Singapore and Thailand reveal historic and multi-faceted relations, underpinned by strong economic ties, powerful army cooperation, and normal social and people-to-people exchanges”, he wrote.

This powerful relationship was established by successive leaders over the years and has grown in context.

Both states continue to explore new areas of collaboration, including clean energy, conservation and the modern business. &nbsp,

” As like-minded lovers and mates, Singapore and Thailand even work together closely at international sites, including in ASEAN”, Mr Wong added.

Congratulating Ms&nbsp, Paetongtarn, Mr Wong said he is sure that Thailand will remain to&nbsp, progress and live under her authority.

” I wish you every success as you begin your new term”, he said.
