In remarks made in a broadcast spread on Saturday, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin defended his numerous globe-trotting during his first ten times as president of the Southeast Asian nation.
In response to criticism from the government, Mr. Srettha, a political tycoon and stranger to the political elite who became prime minister in August of last year, pledged a two-month stop in March.
According to him,” some of these visits are not avoidable,” making mention of those held for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations ( Asean ) official meetings as well as those held in China and Japan, and that a third was in Sri Lanka to sign a free trade agreement.
Other trips aimed to bring trade and investment, said Mr Srettha, nicknamed Thailand’s seller, who has often spoken of his purpose of luring more foreign funding to the region.
