PM Lee conveys 'deepest condolences' to Japan PM Kishida over death of Shinzo Abe

SINGAPORE: Primary Minister Lee Hsien Loong has conveyed his “deepest condolences” to Japan following the particular death of former best minister Shinzo Abe .

Inside a letter to Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on Saturday (Jul 9), PM Lee extended their condolences on the “shocking and tragic” passing of Mr Abe.

“Singapore strongly condemns this mindless act of violence, ” he mentioned.

Mr Lee also lauded Mr Abe’s achievements as an energetic international statesman, exactly who deepened Japan’s engagement with regional groupings such as the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).  

“Mr Abe’s passing will be felt deeply in Japan, Singapore and around the world. My thoughts are with you and the people of Japan during this period of suffering, ” wrote Mr Lee.

Dear Prime Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) Kishida,

For the Government of Singapore, I express the deepest condolences on the shocking and heartbreaking passing of former Prime Minister associated with Japan Mr Abe Shinzo. Singapore strongly condemns this mindless act of violence.
