PM Lee, Brunei sultan discuss ways to grow bilateral collaboration

SINGAPORE: Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Brunei’s Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah discussed methods to grow bilateral cooperation during a meeting within Brunei on Sunday (Jul 16), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said on Sunday.

This includes developing close personal connections between the next generation associated with leaders of Singapore and Brunei.

Mr Lee and Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah met over breakfast time and a morning stroll. Brunei’s Crown Knight in shining armor Al-Muhtadee Billah also attended the meeting.

Mr Shelter and Madam Ho Ching were within Brunei from Thurs to Saturday to attend the sultan’s 76th birthday celebrations .

“Prime Minister Lee conveyed birthday hey there from Singapore and reaffirmed the exclusive and unique relationship between Singapore plus Brunei, ” MFA said in a statement.

“Prime Minister Lee and His Majesty discussed ways to develop bilateral collaboration, which includes fostering close individual ties between the next generation of leaders. ”
