Phuket has devised six measures to ensure that bars and pubs may remain open until 4 a.m., with the new time tentatively scheduled for December 15.

According to a cause from the Phuket Provincial Administration Office, on Wednesday, Phuket has conducted an official public reading on the issue and has decided to extend the working hours of overnight entertainment venues to 4am.

The policy may get put into effect in six areas on Bangla Road in the Kathu district’s tambon Patong. Additionally, 106 of the 229 entertainment venues in external zones will implement the estimate.

The venue’s earnings are anticipated to increase by 30 to 50 % and the employment rate by 20 to 30 % as a result of the time being extended.

According to the cause, the majority of tourists start their journeys along the road in the first evening, which boosts the island’s economy.

According to the cause, CCTV cameras will be installed in each of the six designated regions for the first measure, being watched over by a special administrative system and various companies.

Second, in order to provide guidance on women’s health as well as the hygienic conditions of workers housing and the entertainment venues themselves, tambon health-promoting hospitals will collaborate to develop effective health check programs in these areas.

Finally, there will be disaster mobile units posted at police stations and close to ThaiPan restaurants.

Thirdly, patrols may be conducted around-the-clock, with police units deployed to assist with road and road traffic from 6pm to 9pm.

Lastly, trash and misuse may be gathered between 6am and 6pm so that it can be separated before being dumped on public highways or at designated locations.

Three provincial units, two fire-fighting unit, and 36 lifeguards—four of whom are working overnight—will be deployed to make sure the city is prepared to fend off disasters and maintain safety in Muang Patong.

From 8pm to 8am, eight volunteer rescuers will also be on duty.

In order to prevent disturbing others, some areas will also be designated for cannabis cigarettes.

According to the cause, officers, administrative, and security officers will step up their illegal drug repression efforts and take legal action against offenders.

Additionally, there will be strict controls on how adult beverages are distributed.
