PHUKET: According to immigration police, who are still cracking down on foreigners who enter the country illegally, a Nigerian man who was detained on Thursday for overstaying his card likewise had cocaine in his hands.

Anamere George, 26, was detained at 1.30 p.m. on his way to the Baan Suan Loch Palm casing estate in the Kathu area, according to Pol Col Thanes Sukchai, chief of the Phuket immigration authorities. He had a three-year, ten-month card extension.
