Phuket Covid cases stable

PHUKET: The number of brand new Covid-19 cases in this particular southern island province remains steady using a daily average of 20-25 from RT-CPR tests and 200-250 from antigen exams, health office chief Kusak Kukiatikul stated on Monday.

On Weekend, 20 new cases were confirmed with 64 still below treatment and two had died, boosting the coronavirus-related death toll to 135. Antigen tests discovered 187 cases in Muang district then one in Kathu.

Dr Kusak said the new cases mainly arose through the easing of Covid-19 restrictions.  

“Average everyday infections are 20-25 from RT-PCR lab tests and 200-250 from antigen tests, and the number of patients with lung inflammation has dropped, ” this individual said.

Daily fatalities acquired dropped to one or two. They were in the so-called 608 and 708 groups, composed of susceptible people.

Dr Kusak said from Come july 1st 11-17 there were 7 deaths from Covid, most of them over seventy years of age and with a chronic illness. People over 60 years outdated should have received at least three jabs, to lessen the severity of symptoms if infected.

Within Phuket, 98% from the people have received an initial Covid vaccination, 90% a second and 68% a third.

He said mask-wearing is still necessary. People of all age groups must be especially careful whenever in close contact with people in high-risk groups and make sure they have had the first two jabs with least one  enhancer shot.
