A top Marine Department official said on Friday that ship car services that connect some shores and the airport are scheduled to debut later this year.
According to Surachai Burapanthachai of the district’s planning office, the island might offer the first walking boat service in four months.
A journey could take about an hour, he added, and the first route was taking from the island’s northern beaches to Phuket aircraft, with bridges at Patong, Kata, and Karon among the possible locations.
In a meeting held in January, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and leaders and business leaders discussed the ship vehicle operation to relieve traffic on the island, particularly the route leading city and the famous beaches.
According to Mr. Surachai, the department planned to travel from the eastern coastline on its own in the upcoming fiscal year because the west may be directly impacted by the winds and rough waters of the rainfall season. Yamu coast, Kaew area, Hin cape, and Por sea might be possible lines to the aircraft from the southeast side.
