Pheu Thai survives dissolution bid

After the Election Commission (EC ) refused to take action against the party’s decision to field a candidate who was a part of a corruption case in a local election last year, the Pheu Thai Party was able to fend off an attempt to dissolve it.

Noparuj Worachitwuthikul, a prominent figure in the political movement Phirap Khao 2006 (” White Pigeons 2006″ ), filed the petition, asking the polling place to punish Charn Phuangphet for winning Charn Phuangphet in the last year’s Pathum Thani provincial administrative organization ( PAO ) polls.

Despite knowing that he was the subject of a fraud investigation by the National Anti-Corruption Commission, the party, in the petition, fielded Charn, a former president of Pathum Thani’s PAO.

The EC claimed that there was not enough evidence to support the plaintiff’s assertions.

According to a cause, the poll agency stated that it wouldn’t request the charter court to dissolve the ruling party in accordance with Section 92 of the natural law.

In addition to Charn, six different people received a final sentence of 7.5 years in prison for their roles in a bone scenario from 2011, which was handled by the Region 1 Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct Circumstances in October of that year.

On September 22, a rerun of the June 30 ballot was scheduled. Pol Lt Gen Kamronwit Toopkrajang, who lost to Charn in the first ballot, won.
