Pheu Thai shrugs off latest petition

Says six states “lack adequate grounds”

The ruling Pheu Thai Party rebuffed the most recent petition against the organization, saying it can solve any problem and that some of the allegations are unsupported.

The group’s legal advisor, Chousak Sirinil, stated on Friday that the six charges made against the organization lack sufficient grounds to qualify as activities intended to undermine the constitutional king.

He claimed that the lawyer Teerayut Suwankesorn’s filing with the Constitutional Court on Thursday attempted to portray Pheu Thai’s actions as comparable to those that resulted in the court’s decision to reject the now-dissolved Move Forward Party ( MFP).

” It’s far from the information, and these are completely different things”, Mr Chousak said.

Mr. Teerayut, who safely requested the dissolution of the MFP, requested that the court halt former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra from attempting to undermine the king.

In response to his judgment for abuse of power next year, Thaksin should have been in prison, according to the petition, by using the Ministry of Justice under the Pheu Thai-led government to secure an expanded sit at the Police General Hospital.

Pheu Thai and the Women’s Party were instructed by Thaksin to work together to advance legal changes. The MFP, which was found guilty of undermining the constitutional king, was the MFP’s fresh manifestation, which was disbanded by the Constitutional Court.

After Mr. Srettha’s removal from office, the former top also held discussions with coalition parties about who would take Srettha Thavisin as prime minister on August 14.

According to Mr. Chousak, Thaksin places the highest value on the monarchy’s establishment, and he once reaffirmed that Pages 1 and 2 of the contract may be unaffected.

The Pheu Thai-led state and the group have not engaged in any activities that undermine the establishment, he insisted.

He added that the group’s effort to change politicians ‘ social standards does not intend to end the code of conduct, but rather to define those requirements clearly.

Regarding Thaksin’s reported disturbance in the selection of the elite, Mr. Chousak stated that Pheu Thai was separate and chose its president, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, as its primary governmental candidate for the House to vote on.

He claimed that the judge has yet to choose whether to consider the petition for concern, and that if the situation is accepted, he will guide the legal team in defending the group.

Somkid Chueakong, the prime minister’s assistant secretary-general for social matters, said Mr Teerayut’s petition does not destroy the administration’s job and noted that the move is driven by political objectives.

The National Anti-Corruption Commission ( NACC ) is looking into Thaksin’s extended stay at the Police General Hospital, according to former red-shirt leader Jatuporn Prompan, who stated yesterday that the petition’s main issue is that it is a national priority.

While the Police General Hospital and the Corrections Department are the NACC’s focus points, Mr. Teerayut’s event targets Thaksin and Pheu Thai.

” Still, the two do n’t overlap and are related to the findings of the National Human Rights Commission]NHRC], which is considered important evidence, “he said.

Mr. Jatuporn expressed his confidence that the court may consider the petition for review.

Wissanu Krea-ngam, the original deputy prime minister, denied allegations on Friday that he was a part of a plot to prevent Thaksin from serving time in prison. He was responding to questions asked by Sondhi Limthongkul, a past president of the now-defunct Women’s Alliance for Democracy.
