The ruling Pheu Thai Party has proposed setting up a joint committee with the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), mainly focusing on border trading development,Pheu Thai director- public Sorawong Thienthongsaid on Tuesday.

Mr. Sorawong and former Thai perfect secretary Hun Sen had a meeting at Makara Palace in Phnom Penh on Monday, along with party chief Paetongtarn Shinawatra and its official Danuporn Punnakanta.

He claimed that the Thai delegations suggested that Hun Sen establish the party-by-party committee to work on frontier trading, which is supposed to include members of the Thai ruling party and Thai MPs representing seven provinces along the Thai-Cambodge border.

Its work may aim to change those provinces into marketplaces, which is supposed to help the government’s fiscal target for Thailand- Cambodia border trading. The plan aims to ensure that strikes 525 billion ringgit next month, he said.

The council will work for the public’s good while also pursuing Asean’s monetary and peace goals, he declared.

Hun Sen furthermore shared his experience of managing a political group, said Mr Sorawong.

Hun Sen suggested that Pheu Thai offer its members empowering options because younger officials have sprung up in both nations ‘ cabinet.

He added that at least 7.2 million people, or nearly half of Cambodia’s people, are then CPP members, and suggested Pheu Thai build closer ties with its members to support the group’s goals.

Hun Sen furthermore agreed with Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin’s plan for smooth hospitality under the” 6 Countries, 1 Destination” work the Thai authorities proposed during the Asean Summit.
