According to Pheu Thai record MP Anusorn Iamsa, the coalition authorities did not provide any incentives for three opposition MPs to split rates and support the 2024 Budget Bill.
The bill was approved on the first reading thanks to the alliance government’s 314 seats. So, he claimed, it did not need to ask for support from opposing events.
311 MPs, including three from the opposition Thai Sang Thai Party ( TST ), voted in favor of the 3.48 trillion baht fiscal bill during its first reading, which was approved.
According to Mr. Anusorn,” Members are elected to represent the individuals, so they have a responsibility to uphold that obligation.” They are permitted to vote against the group’s approach, but not the will of the people.
On Sunday, Pheu Thai’s Phumtham Wechayachai allayed worries about a rift in the state following the defeat of the bill by Chartchaipattana Party Prapat Potasuthon.
Mr. Phumtham thought the situation would not jeopardize governmental unity and that it was probably a professional mistake.
But, prominent members of the Chartthaipattana Party, including leader Varawut Silpa- archa, expressed regret for the event.
Mr. Phumtham said it was not uncommon for the opposition MPs to vote in favor of the bill if they thought it served the nation’s objectives.
He continued by saying that the 72-member commission established to review the resources bill will convene today to choose the chair, deputies, spokespeople, and other officials.
Adisak Kaeomungkhunsab, a TST MP for Udon Thani who supported the bill, stated on Sunday and nbsp that he wanted the resources to get to his area as soon as possible because the 2024 budget was now past due.
He claimed that in trade for his vote, he had not been given any perks and had given his justification to his party.
The three Members will be the subject of an ethics investigation by the TST.
