PCF Sparkletots centre with infant and child care services opens in Ang Mo Kio

SINGAPORE: A new PCF Sparkletots centre had been officially opened with Blk 227, Ang Mo Kio Road 23 on Sunday (Jul 23), providing full day infant and child care solutions for children old two months to four years old.

It is one of forty-four Early Years Centres operated by the PAP Community Foundation (PCF), as well as the first such center in Teck Ghee.

The 586 sq ft centre, which  started operations in January, may accommodate 17 infants and 106 kids at full occupancy.

The official starting was graced by guest-of-honour Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

Under the Early Years Centre model, Baby room 2 children that are Singaporeans or Singapore permanent residents will be guaranteed a place within a nearby Ministry associated with Education (MOE) Kindergarten when they turn 5 years old.

The particular Sparkletots centre in Teck Ghee is situated next to an MOE Kindergarten that is located within Ang Mo Kio Primary College.

PCF aspires to open four more Early Years Centres right at the end of this year.

“There has been an expanding demand for pre-schools that cater to kids aged between 8 weeks to four many years, especially in newer estates or areas with new Build-to-Order houses where there are more households with young children, inch said Mr Victor Bay, CEO of PAP Community Basis.

“Over the final 5 years, we now have increased our overall infant care plus child care capacity simply by more than 10, 000 places, especially in newer estates or places with BTOs with higher demand, inch he added.
