Early on Wednesday, a vehicle carrying passengers from Nakhon Phanom to Bangkok collided with an on-road tree in the Phra Nakon Si Ayutthaya area of the province, killing one woman and injuring 15 others.
According to Pol Maj Senee Phachob, research chief at the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya authorities station, the incident happened on Rojana Road, which was headed in that direction. The car was approaching an crossing near a PTT gas station in tambon Pratuchai. Officers were informed of it around 5am.
Emergency services and officers arrived right away. They discovered a passenger de with license plates from Bangkok that had collided with some trees. Bags were strewn across the street after the effects caused the front and a portion of the roof to collapse.

The driver reportedly survived the collision and fled the scene, according to comments on the Khaoayutthaya social media page.
