A Foreign traveller has been arrested for reportedly stealing an expensive watches and money from another customer during a trip from Mumbai in India to Bangkok.

Suvarnabhumi airport public administrator Kittipong Kittikachorn said on Monday that 48- yr- ancient Yi Xiangyang had been detained and charged with theft.

Mr Yi allegedly stole a Rolex watch and$ 2, 800 in money from an American passenger identified as Hasaad Shawan. They were travellers on Vistara trip UK123 from Mumbai to Bangkok next Thursday.

The American traveler registered a problem with Suvarnabhumi aircraft authorities after disembarking, saying his view and wealth had been stolen. Police and security officers at the airport&nbsp, examined security camera footage and agreed Mr Yi was the perfect think.

The aircraft commander said Mr Yi had left the airport in a hurry, in a taxi, with just carry- on luggage after completing immigration. He had not waited to obtain any luggage from the aircraft.

Tourist authorities had tracked Mr Yi to a resort on Ratchadaphisek route, where he was arrested. When he was arrested was never disclosed.

He faces charges of fraud on table an aircraft, which carries a fine of 20, 000 to 100, 000 ringgit and/or one to seven years in prison if found guilty.
