The government’s weather agency announced on Thursday that the flood water levels of the Red River in Hanoi will not be significantly altered until at least until at least early on Friday ( Sep 13 ), and that many areas of the city will still be flooded.
Vietnam has been badly hit by floods and landslides triggered by Typhoon Yagi which made land on Saturday, with at least 181 people killed and 141 missing, according to the president’s disaster management company.
” Great flooding water ranges have flooded river and low-lying areas, eroded rocks and threatened pieces of Hanoi” and other northern counties, the agency said in a statement.
Before the bruised river’s waters reached a 20-year high, the town had evacuated thousands of residents who lived nearby.
North of Hanoi, deadly floods are also happening in mountainous regions, according to status media reviews.
