After a 25.7 million-baht resources was approved for its style, the long-discussed cable car initiative in Phu Kradueng National Park in Loei suddenly started moving ahead.
The proposed 3 km route may begin at Pha Mak Dook, according to Atthapol Charoenchansa, director-general of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation ( DNP ). The first phase will cost up to one billion baht. A subsequent phase to improve services and a study of the impact on the environment may follow.
Most visitors support the project, he said, adding that safari-style trips are also being thought to attract more visitors because access to areas with wild animals may be entirely restricted.
