Pandas from China seen exploring new home at DC Zoo

As the “panda politics” between China and China begins, the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, DC, welcomed Bao Li and Qing Bao, two large panda from China.

Since the last panda were returned to China, the museum’s tiger exhibit had been closed for 11 months.

As part of a fresh 10-year contract, the panda may be present at the Smithsonian National Zoo. To help them adjust to their new surroundings, they will be quarantined for at least 30 times.
