Paiboon Nititawan, the deputy leader of the Palang Pracharath Party ( PPRP ), questioned her ethical standards on Thursday when she accused Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra of breaking her pledge to include the PPRP in the new coalition.
Following a meeting of the original partnership party, Mr. Paiboon criticized Pheu Thai’s determination to omit the military-backed PPRP despite Ms. Paetongtarn’s confidence in the press that the PPRP would continue to be a partnership companion with the same cabinet quota.
The PPRP had voted for Ms Paetongtarn to become the region’s 31st prime minister based on this assurance, according to Mr Paiboon.
He cited Section 362 of the Civil and Commercial Code, which holds people legally liable for making people claims, and claimed that Ms. Paetongtarn is a victim of this practice.
” I insist this is not a way of pressuring]Ms Paetongtarn into honouring her promise]. I’m just talking about the laws which concerns the prime minister’s promises given to the PPRP”, he said.
Mr. Paiboon suggested that anyone who has a sense of morality could question Ms. Paetongtarn’s honesty even though he said the PPRP would certainly appeal the Constitutional Court to determine whether her actions constitute an ethics violation.
Since Pheu Thai had already decided to exclude it from the new government, the PPRP will then play a new role as an opposition party, he added.
The formation of the government is anticipated to get finished by mid-September, according to Pheu Thai’s deputy prime minister Phumtham Wechayachai.

According to Pheu Thai secretary-general Sorawong Thienthong, some Pheu Thai MPs were angry about the PPRP’s actions, especially its president, Gen Prawit Wongsuwon, who failed to appear during a vote to elect Paetongtarn Shinawatra as prime minister in the House on Aug 16.
