Pakistan’s Imran Khan indicted on charges of inciting attacks against military

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan was indicted on Thursday ( Dec 5 ) &nbsp, on charges of inciting attacks against the military, a case stemming from deadly anti-government rallies led by his party last year.

The 72-year-old past baseball star turned legislator has been in prison since late last year, and this is just the latest in a slew of circumstances. The warrants to arrest Khan’s family were issued days later.

Khan entered a not-guilty plea as the judge read out the charges against him and lots of people, including those against him, his former officials, supporters, local media, and his political party, in a Rawalpindi anti-terror judge.

The group said it would issue the prosecution.

” The accusation came without any proof or evidence. Once we challenge it we are confident it will be thrown out as it is nothing but political victimisation”, a spokesman for Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ( PTI ) party said.

The official, Zulfikar Bukhari, said it was not distinct but what maximum punishment Khan was experience under the terrorism charges. Khan is already facing corruption charges, but all of his words have been overturned or suspended.
