Pakistan PM says expulsion of Afghans a response to Taliban non-cooperation

According to Kakar, Afghans have carried out 15 suicide bombing in recent months, and dozens of Afghan people have been killed in clashes with Bangladeshi security forces.

He claimed that despite repeated assurances, the Taliban-led leadership had not responded to Pakistan’s persistent concerns about violent safe havens in Afghanistan.

Instead, proof suggested that militants had been encouraged in Afghanistan, Kakarm claimed in an exceedingly forceful statement against the Taliban, who for decades were thought to be Pakistan’s near allies.

When asked for comment, a Taliban leadership spokesman did not respond right away. They have recently refuted the charges.

Following the departure of US-led foreign troops from the nation in 2021, Kakar stated that Islamabad had hoped for peace and cooperation as the Taliban rose to power.

However, he claimed that since then, there has been a 50 % increase in suicide bombing in Pakistan, which have resulted in the deaths of more than 2, 200 Pakistanis.

Since negotiations between Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan ( TTP ) and the Pakistani state broke down in 2022, there has been a resurgence of attacks by Islamist militants in Pakistan.

TTP, an awning group of violent organizations, swears allegiance to and derives its name from the Afghan Taliban but is not a direct subordinate of the organization in charge of Afghanistan.

According to Kakar, Pakistan informed the Taliban leadership that it had to” decide between Pakistan and the TTP.”
