In an assault on a police station in north-west Pakistan, at least 10 police officers were killed.
Violence has increased this week in advance of the nation’s public elections.
According to police in the Draban region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the attack was launched at around 3:00 local time on Monday ( 22:00 GMT Sunday ). It began with sniper fire and was followed by grenades.
Over two and a half hours passed during the flames transfer, which also injured nine other people.
Although the perpetrator of the harm is still unknown, the Pakistan Taliban, Islamic State, and other violent organizations have been attacking civilians as well as targets of government and security in the area for decades.

The 90,675 voting places in Pakistan have been divided into two categories by the Election Commission:” sensitive,” meaning there is a risk of violence, and “most sensitive,” denoting an increased risk. The groupings are based on the history of political violence and the security situation in the area.
