Two Thai nationals were arrested on Saturday for forging US currency after trying to exchange bogus 100-dollar banknotes really worth 18 million baht at a currency exchange in the Pathumwan area, law enforcement said.
Asmin Wandeng, forty eight, from Phatthalung, plus Abdulroman Ritthito, forty five, from Songkhla, resulted in with a bag associated with 5, 000 of the banknotes yesterday mid-day.
Staff members alerted police once the bills were inspected and found to be fake. The suspects and the seized money were taken to Pathumwan police station for further investigation and the US embassy was informed of the seizure.
