Paetongtarn Shinawatra, the Pheu Thai Party’s president and the NSCSM’s vice chairman, has had her plans questioned. Instead of staying in Thailand, she wants to fly to Hong Kong with her home.

After the National Soft Power Strategy Committee announced it would hold a significant event this month because the Songkran event was declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage piece by Unesco in December, past red-shirt action leader Jatuporn Prompan questioned her intentions on Wednesday.

” The state has urged foreigners from all over the globe to visit Thailand to observe the Songkran event. But you will come abroad during the event. Why do you]Ms Paetongtarn ] do this? I do not understand her thinking”, said Mr Jatuporn.

” She acts like she does not worry about anything. He argued that she should take more responsibility for this, adding that a trip to Hong Kong may be scheduled after April 21.

Mr. Jatuporn made an appearance on his Instagram Live on Wednesday to discuss the issues with the government’s commercial strategy, which irked travelers who assumed Thailand would host Songkran festivities from April 1 through April 21.

Although the Maha Songkran World Water Festival takes place on these dates, according to government spokesman Chai Watcharonke, activities do n’t take place simultaneously in all provinces.

Dr Surapong Suebwonglee, director of the National Soft Power Strategy Committee, said it could not press for such a big event this year due to budgetary and moment limits.

He claimed that more time and money was required and that the occasion may be bigger the following month.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand hosts the Maha Songkran World Water Festival in Bangkok, which runs from April 11 through April 15. It is held on Ratchadamnoen Klang Avenue and Sanam Luang.
