Shinawatra kingdom
After Thaksin and her uncle Yingluck, Ms. Paetongtarn is the next Shinawatra family member to hold the position. Thaksin’s brother-in-law Somchai Wongsawat even served dimly in the position in 2008. Following military dictatorships against their government, Thaksin and his younger sister Yingluck both fled into captivity.
Thaksin re-enter Thailand in August of last year, receiving an eight-year jail sentence after being given a royal reprimand for operating in conflict of interest and abuse of authority while in office from 2001-2006. He was given probation after six months of confinement at the Police General Hospital and did not spend a single night behind restaurants.
Pheu Thai chief Paetongtarn was chosen as the applicant for excellent minister on Thursday after the events in the coalition government agreed to support his candidacy.
It was reported earlier that important partnership figures met at Thaksin’s home on Wednesday night and decided to pick Chaikasem Nitisiri, 75, a previous justice minister and attorney-general.
To be prime minister, a prospect needs the support of more than half of the current 493 politicians, or 248 seats. If they do n’t pass, the House must re-convene and re-enter the process, giving each candidate a chance to nominate others. The 11-party alliance state has 314 seats in the House.
Srettha was fired from the PM’s position on Wednesday after the Constitutional Court found him guilty of breaking moral standards by appointing Pichit Chuenban as secretary of the PM’s Office despite having a prison record.
Pichit was previously accused of bribeing Supreme Court representatives, and he was sentenced to six months in prison for contempt of court.  ,
However in opposition
Natthaphong Ruengpanyawut, leader of the opposition People’s Party, said on Thursday that , the group would never vote for the Pheu Thai Party’s primary governmental member.
The criticism Democrat Party, which had 25 MPs in attendance, also voted to withdraw.
The Move Forward Party ( MPF), which was disbanded last week by the Constitutional Court, has recently taken its place. The court determined that Move Forward had violated both the legal dynasty and regional stability.
Move Forward won the 2023 vote, but some unaccountable senators were unable to form a government in response to its plan to alter the lese-majeste law. The runner-up Pheu Thai Party immediately formed a new partnership without Move Forward, and the latter moved into the criticism.
In Friday’s voting, just votes from MPs – no senators – were required to choose the perfect secretary.
