A person has been detained in Khon Kaen for sexually assaulting underage boys and posting video clips of the acts online.
Warit ( surname not specified ), 31, was apprehended yesterday by the Cyber Crime Investigation Division 3 (CCID3 ) at a home in the Ban Hat district. This was piece of sting activities that also covered Maha Sarakham, Yasothon, Roi Et and Nakhon Ratchasima.
These are counties under the CCID3’s control. Additionally, the activities targeted human trafficking gangs and illegitimate online lottery rooms.
According to Pol Lt Gen Chatpanthakan Klaiklueng, the CCID3, Mr. Warit’s arrest came as a result of a tip-off about a chatroom on the Line program charging people a 200-baht entrance fee to watch pornographic images of underage kids being abused.
Mr. Warit reportedly told police that he had sexual relations with adolescent boys, many of whom were under 13, and that he had allegedly recorded the alleged assaults and posted them in the chatroom.
The suspect has been charged with sexual abuse, human trafficking, procuring kids for sexual and producing and distributing child sexual materials.
The CCID3 even widened its attacks and netted four people, one each in Nakhon Ratchasima, Yasothon, Roi Et and Maha Sarakham, who reportedly operated an illegitimate site selling tickets for Laos ‘ government-run jackpot.
Four cellular phones, some ATM cards, computers, and advertisements for the illegal virtual assistance were among the items seized.
In Khon Kaen, two people were detained yesterday on fear of selling online raffle cards without a license in the towns of Phon and Muang. Authorities ordered the suspects ‘ bank accounts containing about 300, 000 ringgit frozen.
If the defendants had any connection to the improper lottery revenue, it was not clear.
Weerachon, 25, was even detained by the CCID yesterday at a posh apartments in downtown Khon Kaen and charged with unlawfully armed with nine bullets and a 9mm handgun. According to authorities, the assume posted images of himself posing with a gun to go to parties and parties on social media.
