Over S$2 million worth of counterfeit perfume, candles and diffusers seized; man arrested

SINGAPORE: A 55-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in selling counterfeit goods online, the police on Saturday (Feb 24) following a raid earlier in the week.

Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department conducted enforcement operations at Toh Guan Road East on Tuesday and Thursday.

More than 25,000 items were seized, comprising purported trademark-infringing bottles of perfume, candles and diffusers.

The seized items have an estimated street value of more than S$2 million (US$1.5 million), the police said.
