Two passenger trains and a cargo train were involved in the worst train accident in India’s eastern Odisha( formerly known as Orissa ) state on Friday night.
According to officials, many Shalimar-Chennai Coromandel Express carriages derailed in the Balasore area, collided with a fixed goods coach, and several of its coaches ended up on the other track.
The Howrah Superfast Express, a different coach that was traveling from Yesvantpur to Howreh, then struck the overturned vehicles.
The Coromandel Express traveler who was injured and two nearby villagers who had witnessed the crash were both interviewed by the BBC.

On a distinct trail, the goods train was fixed. The merchandise train derailed and collided with the Coromandel Express.
Chaos erupted. Shalimar Express was the station that was approaching from the opposite side. From on, it struck the Coromandel Express. Two of its mentors got stuck. A quiet noise could be heard. Smoking could be seen everywhere.
People were running in all directions, and it was disorganized. I made the decision to work there because I was close to the songs. We began removing some of the individuals who were trapped. We were able to remove some systems as well as some individuals.
We had no idea how to remove the injured because there were so many of them. After the rescuers showed up, things started to get a little simpler. This job continued for almost the entire day. I’m still in a stupor right now.

There was a quiet noise. We noticed that this incident had occurred around when we left the house. The items coach had boarded a different station, as I could see.
When I arrived, I noticed that many people had been hurt and many had passed away. A young child, whose families had likely passed away, was sobbing. After some time, that child even passed away.
There were a lot of people asking for ocean below. I did my best to provide individuals with fluids. Our village’s residents came around and did their best to assist the locals.
It was awful.

When we felt a little jerk and the coach derailed, I was on board.
There was a loud noise, and the station flipped over. I was trapped and was freed by locals after 30 minutes.
Our possessions were all dispersed around. I was unable to locate any of it. I emerged and took a seat on the floor. Four of the passengers from my settlement who were traveling have made it out alive, but many others have been hurt or are still missing.
Many people perished in the manager I was riding in. The doctor received those who had sustained serious injuries.
