Open-top bus parade for Team Singapore Olympians to be held on Aug 14

France: An open-top vehicle festival to honor Team Singapore’s Olympians did held on Aug 14, it has been announced.

Speaking&nbsp, at a&nbsp, wrap-up news conference for the Paris Olympics on Saturday ( Aug 10 ), &nbsp, Singapore Sports Institute ( SSI) chief Su Chun Wei also praised the efforts of the athletes.

We hope that Singaporeans will show up to support our Olympians as they board an open-top vehicle through the heart of the city, and that we can appreciate and join forces once more as a country to enjoy these incredible accomplishments made by all of our Olympians, he said.

Sport Singapore ( SportSG) said that, as of Saturday, eight athletes will take part in the parade. They include sprinter Gan Ching Hwee, Olympic bronze medalist Max Maeder, and Terry Hee and Jessica Tan, both of whom are best mixed doubles players.

The rally- which will have five” praise points”- may get the players from Bayfront Avenue through Chinatown, Orchard Road, Serangoon Road and Victoria Street. &nbsp,

At the push event, Dr Su praised the “gritty shows” of Singapore’s sports and stressed the “very great club” needed to make the cut for the Games.

At the Paris Olympics, Singapore had 23 sports representing them across 11 different activities. Kitefoiler Maeder sends the regiment home with a prize, the first in eight times.
