Ong Beng Seng set to plead guilty to charges linked to Iswaran

After a pre-trial conference on Friday ( Feb 28 ), property tycoon Ong Beng Seng is scheduled to enter a guilty plea to charges relating to former transport minister S Iswaran.

Ong, 79, was charged with two crimes in October 2024.

He is charged with aiding the former minister in getting an all-expenses-priced trip to Doha in December 2022 worth about S$ 20, 850 ( US$$ 15, 500 ).

The additional cost contends that Ong consciously assisted Iswaran in May of that year when the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau began its investigation by paying S$ 5,700 to Singapore GP for a business school flight seat from Doha to Singapore on the same route. &nbsp,
