The long-tailed boat’s captain, Pairat Kaewsrijan, reported to Koh Phangan authorities that powerful waves had capsized the ship at 400 meters off the Haad Rin Nok. Local crisis volunteers and hospitality operators responded to the scene and managed to save 12 tourists and sailors.  ,
